My Mission
On the surface, photography captures a snapshot of the physical presence of a subject or medium. Take a camera, point and shoot. In theory, it could be called the art of photography. But in reality it isn’t. It is not until the photographer engages with the subject or medium, until he/she adds his/her own perspective, interpretation, angle, and imperfection, until, in turn, others engage and see a piece of themselves in the very same work that it can be called art. This is what I strive to do; to create photographs that are beyond the surface and have deep meaning to both me and my clients. My passion and goal is to capture subtle, sincere, natural photos that show the true essence of my subjects.

I believe that an established relationship between photographer and subject prior to the session translates directly into the photographs. I look forward to getting to know you! After booking, we will begin with a complimentary pre-session personalized consultation via email. We will chat about you, location, styling, and any special requests for a well-prepared session. At the session, we’ll have plenty of time for all involved to settle in. It is my goal to make your photography experience fun and stress free! The session will include posed shots as well as candid shots, which are always my favorite to capture.
